Joseph was the pride of his father Jacob even though he was not the oldest or even the youngest. There was something about Joseph that endeared him to his father so much so that Jacob gave him a coat of many colors. Bishop Ulmer reminds us that just like Joseph’s father Jacob gave him a garment, our heavenly father has a garment for us.
